Setting

Description

[Basic Screen]

Select the initial display of the main screen in copy mode (default: [Basic Setting]).

[Quick Settings 1]/[Quick Settings 2]

To arrange setting keys on the main screen of the copy mode, set [Quick Settings 1] or [Quick Settings 2] to ON, and select the desired keys (default: OFF).

[Default Paper Type Display]

When custom paper is registered by the administrator, select whether to preferentially display custom paper on the paper type setting screen (default: [Standard Paper]).

  • [Standard Paper]: Preferentially displays the paper registered on this machine in advance.

  • [User Paper Name]: Preferentially displays custom paper registered by the administrator arbitrary.

[Fax Settings]

To display: [Utility] - [Utility] - [Customize] - [Fax Settings]

Change the default main screen in fax mode of classic style.

Setting

Description

[Default Tab]

Select the default display of the main screen in the fax mode (default: [Address Book]).

[Program Default]

Select a page to be displayed in the main screen of [Program] (default: [PAGE 1]).

[Address Book Default Index]

Select the index and destination type that are initially shown when [Address Book] is displayed.

  • [Index]: Select the index search text that has been selected when the destination was registered (default: [Favorite]).

  • [Address Type]: Select a destination type to be displayed such as Group and fax (default: [All]).

[Default Address Sort Method]

Select the list order of destinations to be displayed in [Address Book] between an order by registration number and by registration name (default: [Name]).

If you select the registration name, destinations are sorted according to [Sort Character] specified for the destinations.

[Default Address Display Method]

Select the button view or the list view as the initial display of [Address Book] (default: [One-Touch Button Layout]).

[Address Button Size Setting]

Select the size of a button to display [Address Book] with (default: [Standard]).

[Fax/Scan Settings (Classic style)]

To display: [Utility] - [Utility] - [Customize] - [Fax/Scan Settings (Classic style)]

Change the default main screen in Scan/Fax mode of classic style.

Setting

Description

[Default Tab]

Select the default display of the main screen in the scan/fax mode (default: [Address Book]).

[Program Default]

Select a page to be displayed in the main screen of [Program] (default: [PAGE1]).

[Address Book Default Index]

Select the index and destination type that are initially shown when [Address Book] is displayed.

  • [Index]: Select the index search text that has been selected when the destination was registered (default: [Favorite]).

  • [Address Type]: Select a destination type to be displayed such as E-mail, fax and User Box (default: [All]).

[Default Address Sort Method]

Select the list order of destinations to be displayed in [Address Book] between an order by registration number and by registration name (default: [Name]).

If you select the registration name, destinations are sorted according to [Sort Character] specified for the destinations.

[Default Address Display Method]

Select the button view or the list view as the initial display of [Address Book] (default: [One-Touch Button Layout]).

[Address Button Size Setting]

Select the size of a button to display [Address Book] with (default: [Standard]).

[Fax/Scan Settings (Basic style)]

To display: [Utility] - [Utility] - [Customize] - [Fax/Scan Settings (Basic style)]

Change the default main screen for the sending functions of basic style.

[Default Tab]

Select the default display of the main screen for the sending function (default: [Address Book]).

Configure the setting for each main screen.

[Default Address Display Method]

Select the button view or the list view for the initial display of the destination list on the Destination tab (default: [One-Touch Button Layout]).

  • [Fax]: Select the display on the main screen of Fax.

  • [Network Fax/Scan]: Select the display on the main screen for the sending functions excluding Fax.

[Search Option Settings]

To display: [Utility] - [Utility] - [Customize] - [Search Option Settings]

Configure the contents of the search screen when performing a detailed search for registered destinations. Also, specify whether to search for functions of this machine.

Setting

Description

[Case sensitive]

When distinguishing between upper and lower case alphabet characters to search for a registered destination, set this option to ON (default: ON).

[Display search option screen]

When specifying whether to distinguish between upper and lower case alphabet characters to search for a destination, set this option to ON (default: OFF).

[Search Item Settings]

When displaying the keys used to search for a function on the screen, set this option to ON (default: ON).

If ON is selected, you can specify the search range by using a combination of ON and OFF for each function.

[User Box Setting]

To display: [Utility] - [Utility] - [Customize] - [User Box Setting]

Change the default main screen in User Box mode of classic style.

Setting

Description

[Default Tab]

Select the default display of the main screen in the User Box mode (default: [Public]).

[Shortcut Key 1]/[Shortcut Key 2]

Select whether to use System User Box shortcut keys on the main screen in User Box mode (default: [OFF]).

To use shortcut keys, select System User Boxes to be assigned to shortcut keys.

[Active screen setting]

To display: [Utility] - [Utility] - [Customize] - [Active screen setting]

Configure settings to display the active screen.

Description

[Copy Screen]

Configure settings for the screen displayed in copy operations.

  • [Copy Operating Screen]: When displaying the screen indicating that printing is in process, set this option to ON (default: OFF). You can check the detailed copy settings and the job progress status with the screen that appears while printing. In addition, you can reserve the next job by tapping [Next Box Job], [Next Fax/Scan Job], or [Next Copy Job].

[FAX Active Screen]

Select whether to display the screen indicating the machine status during fax transmission.

  • [TX Display]: When displaying the screen indicating that fax transmission is in process, set this option to ON (default: OFF). You can check information on a destination and document in this screen.

  • [RX Display]: When displaying the screen indicating that fax receiving is in process, set this option to ON (default: OFF). You can check information on sender and fax being received in this screen.

[Accessibility Settings]

Configure settings concerning panel operations of this machine.

  • [Zoom Display Setting]: When pinching out (enlarging) the entire panel screen of this machine, set this option to ON (default: OFF). When enlarging, you can drag to move the display area while maintaining the zoom ratio.

[Paper jam release procedure display settings]

When displaying the paper jam clear procedure when a paper jam occurs, set this option to ON (default: ON).

[Animation Settings]

Select whether to display in animation view when opening or closing a pop-up window.

  • [Activate when pop-up opens]: When displaying an animation view to open the pop-up window, set this option to ON (default: OFF).

  • [Activate when pop-up closes]: When displaying an animation view to close the pop-up window, set this option to ON (default: OFF).

[Default Application Screen Type Setting]

To display: [Utility] - [Utility] - [Customize] - [Default Application Screen Type Setting]

Style Select the default value to display the [Application] screen in each mode of classic style (default: [Mapscroller]).

[Function Display Key]

To display: [Utility] - [Utility] - [Customize] - [Function Display Key]

Change function keys to be displayed in each mode of classic style to the easy-to-use ones.

[Copy/Print]

To display: [Utility] - [Utility] - [Customize] - [Function Display Key] - [Copy/Print]

Change the function key to be displayed on the main screen in copy mode of classic style and the print settings screen in User Box mode.

Select a function key number, and specify the function to assign.

The following shows the default settings for the metric area.

Change the function key to be displayed on the sending and saving screens of classic style.

Select a function key number, and specify the function to assign.

The following shows the default settings.

  • [1]: [Simplex/Duplex]

  • [2]: [Resolution]

  • [3]: [Color]

  • [4]: [File Format]

  • [5]: [Scan Size]

  • [6]: [File Name/Subject Name/Other]

  • [7]: [Separate Scan]

  • This setting is displayed when a change of function key is permitted in [Utility] - [Administrator] - [System Settings] - [Function Display Key Permission Setting].

[Fax Tx]

Change the function key to be displayed on the main screen in fax mode of classic style.
